This beautiful 1-decade Pietersite rosary is part of our Bee Faithful series and is the perfect size for your pocket, purse or backpack. Pietersite—also called "eagle's eye"—was named in honor of its discoverer, Sid Pieters, who found it originally in Namibia, Africa. Pietersite is a variety of Quartz, composed naturally of Tiger's Eye, Hawk's Eye and Jasper, and is characterized by an incredible chatoyancy (cat's eye effect, is an optical reflectance effect seen in certain gemstones) and brilliance of life within the stone. Its dominant gold hues are contrasted with deep blue-black, grey and brown, as well as occasional clear areas. Pietersite is extremely rare and found in two locations world-wide: Hunan, China and Namibia, Africa.
