Welcome to B.Caldwell Creations! This is the launch of our new website and my first blog post. We hope that you will check in with us often to see what’s going on. This blog will cover the latest in fashion and color trends, seasonal inspirations, new products and whatever else I think you might find interesting. To start things off I’d like to tell you a bit about myself, how B.Caldwell Creations came to be and finally where we hope to go.
I currently live in Prairieville, Louisiana with my wonderful husband of twenty years, Jack, my son Sean, daughter-in-law Roni, and their brand new baby, Kai. Our household is always “buzzing” with activity! We also have two pugs (Mr. Darcy and Pippa) and two spoiled cats (Fatty and Pixie). You will hear more about all of them in future posts. You will also get to meet my other son and daughter-in-law (Doug and Molly), and their newborn son (Nathan). They live in nearby Covington, La. and we get everyone together as often as we can. Both of my daughters-in-law are artists and will be helping me with creative design and social media.
B.Caldwell Creations actually started in 2001 as Joyful Mysteries in Covington and I focused then, as I do now, on beautiful handcrafted rosaries, jewelry of faith, beaded necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. It was born of my passion for color and my faith.
Someone once asked me what made me happy? I was so busy taking care of my children and my ill mother that at first, I drew a complete blank—then it hit me. Color. I love all things colorful, color makes me happy! And so I hope the colors in my designs will make you happy too!
As sometimes happens in life, I needed to spend more time on my other career. Then Hurricane Katrina came to call. My husband and I left Louisiana for a while and lived “up north” in Wisconsin and Minnesota where we learned all about snow, ice, and -15 degree temperatures! Joyful Mysteries was set aside, but not forgotten.
Now back in Louisiana and nearing retirement it was time to revisit my true passion and re-launch my business under its new name B.Caldwell Creations. I choose the theme of a bee because it symbolizes my personal and business mission statement—don’t let anyone tell you that you cannot achieve your dreams.

For the future, I will be concentrating on bringing you new designs and collections as well as getting the word out about B.Caldwell Creations. I hope that you will share our website and Facebook page with your friends and family. I look forward to hearing from you about our products and how we can add things to our collections that you could get excited about.
